About
I am a first year graduate student at USC's Annenberg School of Journalism. I aspire to become a political correspondent and cover the major socio-political news of our time.
I was born in East LA and grew up in Montebello. I attended the University of California, Los Angeles where I became heavily involved in student activism - eventually getting elected as a General Representative on the Undergraduate Student Association Council, the student government.
Upon graduating from UCLA with a degree in Political Science and Public Affairs, I was selected as a Fellow to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute in Washington DC. In the year I spend in DC, I worked for the press office of the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the British Broadcasting Corporation. At the BBC, I was a correspondent assistant where I helped cover the presidential primaries and Latin American affairs.
Now as a full-time graduate student, I work part-time at ABC as a news assistant.
