It deeply saddens me to know that I live in a state wherein animals are given more rights than gay people. It never even crossed my mind that Proposition 8 would pass in a state such as California. They just recently approved same-sex marriage in this state! I feel awful that the majority of Californians have voted "Yes" on Prop 8 and hope many will continue to fight until this ridiculous and unfair initiative is repealed.
