"I was at one point hoping to get at least one Nobel by the time I was thirty," jokes Peter Lorber, when asked about any shortcomings in his life so far. While he may not have earned a Nobel, at 62 years old, Dr. Lorber has achieved a lot, illustrated by the various certificates hanging in frames in his downtown Los Angeles office.

This weekend's Brewery Art Walk showcased not only artwork, but also a general optimism about the financial future of the art world.

Several years ago, I was reading Vogue when I came across a byline that caught my attention: the author's name was Gaby Wood.  I took the fact that someone was writing for Vogue with the same spelling of Gaby that I use as a sign that it could soon be my name as the byline on a feature article in Vogue.
