It is trendy to be environmentally conscious.  Even kids at a young age are learning what they can do to help save the planet. 
We are all feeling the effects of the economy, but non-profit organizations are especially hurting.  They depend on donations to stay alive, but with people's discretionary funds shrinking, the donations are at best, miniscule.   Charities in Pasadena are feeling the economic burn now more than ever.

Voters, volunteers and campaign staffs around the country created the Election mania that characterized the 2008 Presidential Election.  In Southern California, Democrats and Republicans were out in full force on Election Day, at campaign headquarters and parties for their respective candidates.
