John Adams was an accomplished minister in Iowa, California and Massachusetts before leaving the pastorate to pursue a Masters in Journalism at the University of Southern California, Annenberg. He began his studies at Annenberg in the Fall of 2008 and looks forward to completing his degree in the Spring of 2010. "I chose USC because their commitment to train journalist in reporting and producing top notch news stories across multiple media platforms."

Because his extensive biblical training and being an ordained minister, John provides an in-depth view of religion and the faith-community. However, his passions lie more in sports and issues of social justice. As a four-sport letter winner in high school and a four-year starter on his college basketball team, he provides a unique perspective on the psyche of players, methods of managers/coaches, and the nuances of the game. John's desire to pursue journalism grew during an extended trip to Haiti where he heard stories from orphans, the homeless and the hopeless; and witnessed the effects of poverty, drugs and political corruption.
