Los Angeles - Welcome to the City of Wannabes. Certainly, most inhabitants of this golden city have big ideas and even bigger ambitions, be they actors, directors, writers, musicians or artists. But with the entertainment industry being hit hard by the tough economy, how are those living on the brink of stardom in this city faring the hostile climate?
Does the thought of a digital footprint scare you or (oddly enough), thrill you? Does it bother you to know that perhaps every little thing that you Google or any instant messaging chat you've had, is all going onto your online digital record? (Regretting that late night intoxicated Facebook rant now?) It's certainly a worrying concept but I want to put this theory to the test. After putting my own name into Google and discovering only some of my previous articles, my Facebook page, random twitter updates and (shock horror) my MySpace page - which I forgot I had and am in the process of deleting - my worries subsided slightly, but I decided to explore this further with a more high-profile journalist.
